I believe the 3850 and the 3835 are the same models. On HP's website, they use the same ROM, as do the 3815, 3830 and 3845. http://h18007.www1.hp.com/support/files/handheldiPAQ/us/download/15532.html?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
