To reply, visit: http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/1259/#review2006 ----------------------------------------------------------- Hmm, I don't like it much, because: - For me, it seems more logical that the Remove button is next or near the Add button - Now it is inconsistent with the rest of KMail. Just look through the configuration dialog, there are many other places where Add and Remove buttons are used. That said, if the usability people say that Remove should be spaced to the bottom like this, I'd say go ahead and change all places in KMail to that. Celeste, what is your opinion on this? - Thomas On 2009-08-10 16:46:16, Jaime Torres wrote: > > ----------------------------------------------------------- > This is an automatically generated e-mail. Re: [KDE Usability] Review Request: move the delete button in send/receive accounts to the bottom, and place the spacer above it.While you are at button moving: Can you switch the "Search" and "Stop" buttons
in the search mail window (press S)? Everywhere in KDE the search button is the first and the stop button is the last -- except the Search Mail window. Markus Am Mittwoch, 12. To reply, visit: http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/1259/ ----------------------------------------------------------- (Updated 2009-08-12 15:44:46.372491) Review request for KDE PIM and usability. Changes ------- Updated the screenshots. I just thinked about this way of placing the buttons inspired by the Help and Defaults. Also because I'm really tired of message boxes saying "Are you sure you want to delete ...". I think it was Dotan (*), who noticed that every removal action should have it counterpart --> undo. This way the confirmation dialog would be obsoleted. (*) if not, apologies to original author of this idea Ad rem -- scattering related buttons is actually u7y abuse -- now user _has_ to move the mouse cursor all over the screen just to make some data management. Remove/add/modify are the basic set of data management, they should be placed as group, even if remove seen as "dangerous" action. To reply, visit: http://reviewboard.kde.org/r/1259/#review2008 ----------------------------------------------------------- Sorry for the noise. I did not realized that the "Reset" button also restores the deleted accounts. Therefore, only the Markus question is open.
