Hi Michael,

The startup time is of course dependent on any of the meta features of  
RIFE. Anything in your site structure needs to be analyzed by RIFE at  
startup time to perform the required discovery and instrumentation.

The best way of alleviating this is by creating smaller sub-sites that  
you include in your huge site.xml.

Those sub-site can then be worked on in isolation without having to  
load everything.
