Hi,
Thank you for your quick reply! Now I was able to figure out why I couldn't find these settings as they're only available for the CMS model (type key ending with B). I have a type A scanner where I can only configure wether it outputs continously or not.
So it seems my initial settings were complete and something else must be the reason why I don't receive any measurement data from the scanner.
Thx again,
Stephan

In the CDS software the setting of relevance are the baud rates, continuous
output mode, and in the bottom right of the tab (I think, this is from
memory) there are 4 rows allowing you to select which ranges of data you
wish to be output. I have only ever tested with the first entry being the
full scan (i.e. -95 to +95 , possibly -5 to 185 in the Sick software).

Hope that helps, otherwise you will need to look up the sick documentation.
Once you have some sort of data appearing on the serial line then the player
driver should work...

If you want any of the extra IO packets from the laser then you will need to
modify the driver, it only outputs the contour data at the moment
