Hi all,
I have been looking in some (temporary) alternatives for opensync. Currently a student is doing a project for GSoC and working on a sync client for Akonadi based on libsyncml.

Though the project wouldn't be finished before September, it's still worth looking into it. You might sync your phone (if you're using Akonadi) with this client soon.
