Re: (no subject)Ron,
any written info has been put on the web, actually. i've been trying to put it in the least mathematical/computery way all along. is there anything in particular that you would like to know or would the written materials be used for something else? these days i'm working on something really cool again, something from quite a while ago: tensegrity. i just rebuilt the physics part of the latest version so that there are absolutely rigid bars and cables that only pull. it feels really good to get back into tensegrity, and now i'm going to get the tensegrities walking. http://www.grunch.net/snelson/snelpix6.html On 5/4/07, Ron B. Re: (no subject)thanks for the quick reply.
the written stuff is just so i could peruse away from the computer and try to get an idea of the history and what this thing "is". i only have a mac with a 2.1 GHz PowerPC G5 with 512 MB of memory. can i get the fluidiom animal to work with this? how do i go about it? sorry if i sound quite illiterate when it comes to computer speak but frankly, i am. thanks again, ron On May 4, 2007, at 12:43 AM, Gerald de Jong wrote: > Ron, > > any written info has been put on the web, actually. i've been trying > to put it in the least mathematical/computery way all along. is there > anything in particular that you would like to know or would the > written materials be used for something else? > > these days i'm working on something really cool again, something from > quite a while ago: tensegrity. i just rebuilt the physics part of the > latest version so that there are absolutely rigid bars and cables that > only pull. it feels really good to get back into tensegrity, and now > i'm going to get the tensegrities walking. > > http://www.grunch.net/snelson/snelpix6.html > > On 5/4/07, Ron B. Re: (no subject)the best experience would be to watch the movies, if you haven't seen them:
http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7989532956224708331 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-4246517343122947344 http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-8522812382923189534 you can download these too if you want, and play them whenever you want on your own machine. i have a 1.7 GHz powerpc laptop and it runs the program just fine, so you should also sometime try out the application itself: http://www.darwinathome.org/intelligentdesign/ since you have a surprisingly small amount of memory (512) you might want to close down other big programs first.
