Hi,

I too am having the same problem. I could get player/stage working find in previous versions of Ubuntu, but couldnt get gazebo to run due to my graphics card, so upgraded the graphics card, but that would only work in ubuntu Jaunty 9.04. So now I try to install player/stage, which I seem to be able to do, but when I try to run it I get the same problem of nothing happening with the lines

6665.31.0 is a Stage world [Loading /home/ben/playerstage/share/stage/worlds/simple.world][Include pioneer.inc][Include map.inc][Include sick.inc]

i have looked through the config.log to see if gtk/gdk is not detected, but it seems to be. Any idea what I might be missing to stop player/stage running? I am using stage 2.0.1 and not 3.0.1.

The GUI for AMCL requires gtk and probably gdk as well, were these detected
during configure?
