Hope everyone is OK. What year and model bike? Check your wheel for true. It could have been warped in the accident. Did the old forks have a fork brace? There will be some resistance from the disk brake. If you release the pressure on the brake pads, the wheel should turn freely. If not, something is binding. Also there is a relief valve in the brake system somewhere that allows the pressure to release when you let off the brake, that could be malfunctioning.
