Hi Martin,

the reader is being detected now (although I have to chown the /dev/bus/usb
device file to group "chipcard" manually first) but when trying to do
anything except cardcommander open, info, close) I'm getting the following
errors:

$ geldkarte loaded
Waiting for card to be inserted: Started.
Waiting for card to be inserted: 5000 of 20000
Waiting for card to be inserted: 10000 of 20000
Waiting for card to be inserted: Finished.
3:2009/02/04 16-40-19:geldkarte3(5281):clientlcc_cmd.c:  483: Command
error -100 (Unknow error code)
3:2009/02/04 16-40-19:geldkarte3(5281):clientlcc_cmd.c:  532: Error response
for request "commandCard"
ERROR: Error executing command CardOpen (3).
3:2009/02/04 16-40-19:geldkarte3(5281):client.c:  361: Still 1 cards in use at
LC_Client_free!

The card I used for testing was detected by cardcommander as
  Card types    : ddv0 geldkarte ProcessorCard

In particular, kmymoney/qbankmanager product the same error.
I attached a complete log of the deamon output, hoping you can debug it.
The daemon starts, geldkarte loaded is executed, card is inserted, geldkarte
crashes with the above error, card is being removed, daemon shut down.

the log indicates that the driver reports and error. Please have a look at the
reader and driver logs (or maybe just send them to my private email address).

of course it’s just a very rough guess without more logs, but this looks
quite similar to the problems I had with the ExpressCard reader. Can you
please try it with the patch I cooked up (mail from Wed, 18 Feb 2009
11:18:11 +0100)?

did you have a chance to try my patch? If you run Debian, I could
provide you with a package if you don’t want to patch it yourself.
