Hi,
I'm about to publish my shareware
game.
What i'd like to know, with regard
to the system
requirements on my site:
Is openAL supported on every system?
I personally believe it is.
No, it's not supported on _every_ system, but it's supported on a lot
of them. You didn't say what platforms your game supports. For
Windows, you can provide a link here:
http://connect.creativelabs.com/openal/Downloads/oalinst.zip
Recent versions of OSX and some Linux distributions include it. For
others, you can point them at OpenAL-Soft:

Or do i need to specify 'openAL
support needed (on Sound card)'
in the requirements?
I wouldn't put it that way, because OpenAL support is not necessarily
needed on the sound card (most sound cards don't support it directly).
The links above will provide a software implementation (which works
fine), if a specific hardware implementation isn't available.
