I have a 2000 Hayabusa, and I put a TRE on it in 2001. At that time, they
did not have an ATRE. I only have slip-ons, no K&N or airbox mod or PCII
(or PCIII). I simply had a stumble at 2-2.5k in 1st and 2nd gears that was
driving me crazy. So, I put on a TRE to remove the stumble, and it fixed
the problem. Does it pull any stronger in the low RPMs? I really don't know,
can't tell. But, it removed the stumble and that's all that mattered to me.
As for no top end limiter, again I didn't care, I won't ever get it over a true
160mph, just run out of good roads too quickly in the north east US.
Just my experience. I now have 33.5k on the bike, and have loved every mile,
can't wait to put more on!
