I personally dream about settings not persisted in server at all. I
dream about LASH studio sessions. Studio sessions are abstraction
for normal jack clients that see virtual studio ports (like the Fons'es
detached ports). Studio session/layer itself contains mapping between
virtual persistent ports and hardware ports. It may contain crossovers
and equalizers. And it contains JACK server settings.
