That's where I got my first IBM "AT" compatible computer to replace the
Compupro S-100 buss computer. Was walking through heavy pedestrian
traffic with hands stacked with case, motherboard, HDD (8" Mitsubishi),
etc. to my chin and $2000 (back then a lot of $$) still in back pocket,
and nobody picked my pocket. Most of the stuff came from JDR. See they
are still in business today. Drove down there in my 1979 Ford Bronco
with several other guys. Came back with the vehicle full including a
Celestron telescope. It's about 3 hour drive from here, but haven't been
there in years. :(
In Columbus, Oh. the statehouse is quite historical, and the Ohio
historical Society museum are very good. Also COSI (Center of science
and industry) is more kids type stuff, but have a simulated working
shaft coal mine including the elevator ride down (moving belt simulating
the moving rock face.
