I see the same problem with my LG VX8300, using Bluetooth on Linux...
I get the unexpected exception. (And, ditto, it works FINE under Windows-Vista.)
I've tried two Debian-family based distros (e.g. MEPIS 8.0 and sidux), and
get the unexpected-exception on both).
[So, I too would love to hear a solution, though I deem it low-priority, since
I just do my syncing over on Windows-Vista.]
