Yes, this is supported in Mule 2.x. I believe the syntax would be as
follows, search the documentation for expression evaluators.

<file:inbound-endpoint path="${header:path}">
<file:filename-wildcard-filter pattern="${header:fileName}"/>
</file:inbound-endpoint>
