Hi Sergey,
how legal is it to use the Sigma SDK as basis for a new driver? Is the
SDK available to pubic without any NDAs and other limitations
which could be a show stopper for such a project?
If I would have an SDK and maybe a datasheet I would not come up with
a new API, instead I would check if existing ones are suitable
(Video4Linux2,...).
Back to your question :)
Why not extend the current in-kernel driver for ADV7175 chips?

It is sharpen for zoran PCI-boards and lacks of many features. :( The driver for the same ADV7175 in DXR3 project are more functional but it hasnt some things like Closed Captioning support, Macrovision and may be somth. else.

What do u think about modifying kernel-drivers to make it more universal for using in sigma-related projects?
