Another thing is that netbooks have poor TFT LCD screens that aren't
very good when it comes to color. Graphic design with with a predefined
palette might be fine, but I wouldn't touch up photos with a netbook.
As a test I tried running Argyll CMS with my colorimeter on my Asus 1000HE
display. It did all but scream in pain.
