Re: VNC server authenticating to listening viewer problem

I have VNC 2.0.2 servers running on our fleet (recent upgrade from version 1) with password protection on the servers configuration to stop users altering any of the settings.

 

We also deploy VNC viwer in listen mode on some machines for staff educators, as we found it is a useful tool for them to help in the workforces education programs.

 

After the upgrade from server version 1 to 2.0.2 the problem occurred in that when the user right clicks on the server icon and then clicks on Attach Listening Viewer it will ask for the server configuration password before allowing the connection.

 

Is there a way to stop the server asking for authentication.
