I think it *needs* to be 1.0.

I don't understand your reluctance to go to 1.0. ROME is basically
complete, no? Are you trying to use the version numbers to indicate
that ROME is alpha quality, unstable and not ready for production use?
I don't think that is the case.

Plus, going to 0.10 sounds like we're going backwards. I know how the
version numbers work, but casual observers are going to see 0.10 and
think we just made our first pre-alpha quality release.

What does the community of ROME developers and users think? Is ROME
ready to be called 1.0?
