I haven't tried, as I have always tried to build against the latest stable version, and that is really the priority. However if it can be painlessly fixed so that it works with the milestone releases, that should try to be done, as the framework will need to be fixed for future releases at some point.
I will look into building with 1.4-mp2 at some point this weekend, is it as easy as just repointing the version in the pom.xml?
What is the nature of the problem, is it compilation (unresolved packages etc maybe?), or is it test failures?
