Re: alicebot-general Digest, Vol 31, Issue 1Hi,
Ok, that note is what I put into the readme.txt included in the zip. Since then I've updated AIMLpad.exe to add a header block which can include the XML directive you identified. Download the version at www.aimlpad.com (you only need the AIMLpad.exe if you upgrade) to ease the process of adding the one-liner. Just load the ChomskyAIML set into the editor and then dump it back out again with a header block that will replace the <aiml> tag (so the header block should include a <aiml> tag in it.) The header block is just another text file of the lines you want to include at the beginning of every dumped file. This is a convenience for including copyright notices in the AIML. If there is no <aiml> tag in the include (header block) file, the file's contents are inserted right after the system generated <aiml> tag and thus it would not work very well for adding the version directive as the first line of the xml file. It still works well for the copyright and documentation stuff. Cheers, - Gary -----Original Message----- From: alicebot-general-bounces@... Subject: Re: [alicebot-general] alicebot-general Digest, Vol 31, Issue 1 Hi, it appears tha each file of the 'tidied' Chomsky AIML set needs <?xml version="1.0" encoding="ISO-8859-1"?> added at the top of the file before it will load into Pandorabots, and other interpreters such as Q-aiml and PascalAlice.
