After I put "options em8300 audio_driver=alsa" in both /etc/modutils/em8300
and /etc/modprobe.d/em8300 and modprobe em8300, I get:
# cat /sys/module/em8300/parameters/audio_driver
alsa,oss,oss,oss
But still no alsa device:
# cat /proc/asound/cards
0 [NVidia ]: HDA-Intel - HDA NVidia
HDA NVidia at 0xfebd8000 irq 16
