We are specificly starting X on vt01. Starting a Secondary x session would open on another VT.

You could try editing the packages/xorg/etc/init.d/x file and change the vt from 01 to like 05 and see what happens.

Using TS 5.1, when I switch forth and back between screens using Ctrl-Alt-F1, Ctrl-Alt-F2 etc. , initial screen blacks out with only mouse cursor. But it actually works as I can see icons when I move cursor over them and (already opened) urxvt window refreshes when I press enter.

I have tested opening a secondary X session from urxvt command line (w/o any parameters, just "X :1&") and run a wm on it. There is no problem with this secondary screen. I can switch to another screen and back to this secondary X session w/o problem. This is not related to swithching between either text or graphics screens.

Same problem on atom (intel drv) and via (openchrome or vesa drv) HW, with any of the icewm, openbox, kiosk etc.

Thanks in advance for any clues.
