It appears to me this is not an OS/2 issue. I have an old Thinkpad
2562-C3U running Windows XP and Firefox 11.0 which also has the problem.
On initially linking to
http://browserquest.mozilla.org the page comes
up and the CPU stays at 100% until an entry is made "name your
character", then it drops off a little.
Also the 100% CPU is dependent on Firefox being in the foreground but
drops off if taskmgr is in the foreground.
It looks like this game is doing something strange that sucks up resources.
