Hi,

First of all, sorry for the late answer.

Since there is no user mailing-list, this is the right place.

Wow! Your i2c subsystem is very verbose!

I don't know this tool, but this looks like bad news (somewhat confirmed
in your dmesg output): to the best of my knowledge, all H+ or DXR3 cards
have an EEPROM chip. It may mean that your card is somewhat damaged, and
the part dedicated to analog audio might be affected as well...

Just to be sure, you are not using the RCA/Cinch connector but the 3.5mm
stereo jack connector, right?
What application have you tried to get some sound?
What kind of device have you tried to connect to the audio output?
Does the noise seem to vary with the sound you're trying to play? What
if you try to play pure silence?

It should not.
I know the em8300 modules have been used with PowerPC, Alpha and Sparc64
CPU, and as far as I know none support MTRR...

I don't think so. I'm afraid your card is damaged. Can you aford to get
(buy) anoter one to check?
