Ambrose,

There may be a way to register your Palm Plua application with an outside scheduling app such as "Crony v3.0" (http://www.freewarepalm.com/clock/crony.shtml) to achieve a similar functionality.  I am not endorsing Crony, but as you can see on the Freeware Palm page, it has gotten some good reviews from users.  If other Plua developers know of better scheduling software, perhaps they can add their opinion to this conversation.

Good luck.

Is there a way to do the following things with Plua:

a) Set an alarm, for say, 60 minutes, and have the PalmOS send the
event and a plua app will wake up after the right time and do something.

b) Record sound just like a voice recorder (a function analogous to
play which records a new sound file instead of playing one).

Thanks,

Ambrose
