Your best bet is to get yourself a carbed bike fuel pump, these run at low pressure and have a pressure sensitive cut out built in without any messing about

My zx1100 engine has carbs. There were orignially garavity fed when it was still a motorcycle. I've got a Facet electric fuel pump. it puts out a max of 40psi. Questions: do I need an adjustable fuel regulator to reduce pressure to about 3psi? If so what type is best? One blog said a low pressure fuel regulator should incorporate a return hose to send fuel back to the tank when the engine requires little fuel. is this true? appreciate advice. Gene
