Dama, your problem has nothing to do with Slash'EM it's most certainly a Vulture's issue. I'm already looking into it thanks to your posting in the Vulture's bug tracker.

I fumbled with my mouse while loading Vulture's Claw. I do not know what I
option I selected or mouse button I mistakenly pressed.
The text messages in the pop-up windows are messed up and unreadable. From
the first pop-up asking my name on the text are messed up and wherever my
onscreen mouse moves the tile underneath is a horizontally aligned with the
flat edges on the top bottom and sides instead of the corners. Also, the
graphic tile under the mouse looks like the background graphic or default
graphic for that area.
I am running vultures-2.1.2-claw_win32-1.exe on windows xp pro service pack
3.
