Yeah, I've been digging all over and I can't find it either. <sigh>

I was just expecting the letters to be arranged in a sequence on the keyboard that made more sense.  I figured out how to toggle the number_pad option through the gui menus, but unless I can find the options file, I have to reset it each time.  most frustrating.

But not frustrating enough to destroy the fun of SlashEm. :)
