I was trying to merge an Arabic font into a roman font but when I tried to save it there were repeated "internal error: bad reverse encoding" messages. If I then generated the font the Arabic glyphs would lose their unicode values. I was able to recreate it by opening a different roman font, then merging in an Arabic font included with the OS.
