I'm obviously not having a great day.
I've been replying to messages in this thread which means my messages
are going to the senders instead of to the list. Sorry Thomas, Brendan,
and any others. It's not the worst thing I have messed up sending email.
I got everything working with online banking downloading my
transactions / accounts from Charles Schwab. I discovered that if I
have an account open, go to Account, there is an option to "map account
to online account". I hadn't seen that before. This method is pretty
much the same as in the Windows financial applications.
Wouldn't have discovered it, but I did it all in a much longer
process, than started to set it up on one of my other computers. It is
all really easy. Don't think any of the external information is needed,
