I was in Korea last week, and took a ~400 km road trip (in a cage) from
Daegu, around the south of the country. There are speed cams everywhere (on
both the 4 lanes and 2 lanes), but the sat nav from the rental car place not
only knew the camera locations, it would flash an obnoxious warning (and a
verbal warning in Korean) and give you the right speed to cruise past the
cameras. Of course all the other drivers on the road have the sat nav too,
so everyone slams on the brakes to go by the speed cam at 100, 80, 60 kph,
what have you, and then they immediately wick it back up to "normal" speed
(120+ on the freeways), making driving on the main highways a little
nerve-wracking, so say the least. Didn't see LEOs doing traffic enforcement
anywhere along the highways.
