That does seem very strange, to need to change the compiled C++ code
to implement sending mail to a list. All functionality like this
should be implemented as XUL and JavaScript like the rest of the user
interface actions.
It would seem trivial to implement this with QuickQuote's code.
Unfortunately, Matteo (who did much more of the XUL/JS work than I
did) hasn't been working on this project for nearly a year. We need
him back.

What is it about KMail that seems so nice? I can't seem to put my
finger on it. Maybe it's the one-key shortcuts and mouse-free
message-moving/composition/encryption/everything. It also feels so
much more efficiently-made (not that I've seen its code, though) in
its speed and lack of obvious bugs, even after weeks of continuous
use.
