Hello,

When I set-up Red5 for clients, I use V 0_8_0. I found that 0_9_0 had streaming problems. You might try that.

Although I've never messed with them, there are some settings in Red5 directly that seem to deal with these things. Sorry I can't give more than that. The things I mentioned before always worked well for me.

take care,
lee

Hello,

   There are several possible issues:

The quality setting: You can try lowering this.
The frames per second(FPS): You can try lowering this.
The size of the image you are broadcasting. I've found I can often set the broadcast dimensions of the image to as low as 60% of the display size without too much pixelation.
      Server bandwidth.
      Your upload speed.

Hello,

I see there was a mistake in the instructions at the page you used to install.

Where it says './red5.sh', it should have first said 'cd dist'.

take care,

Further information about this:

Assuming I installed "echo" from the installer interface. A folder webapps/echo would be created, but not the webapps/demos/echo. Inside webapps/echo/ there is only two folders,  META-INF/  WEB-INF/, and no any other files. So when I try to explore http://my server ip:5080/echo/, the massage is :

Directory Listing For /

FilenameSize Last Modified

Apache Tomcat/6.0.18

If I can not solve this, is there any possibility to install it manually?

Thank you very much!

Hello experts,

I just installed the Red5 0.8 following Jabbercam's instruction here: http://www.videosoftware.pro/forum/THREAD-Install-Red5-on-cPanel-WHM-CentOS-server

All is done, and i can install the demos… but i can not run them, when i go to the page to run the demos, i got

HTTP Status 404 - /demos

type Status report
message /demos
description The requested resource (/demos) is not available.

Apache Tomcat/6.0.18

I can log into the admin interface and seems there are demos are installed. So how can I solve this problem?

Thanks a lot!
