some things i perhaps failed to mention:

when i type startx, it crashes like this:

xauth: creating new authority file /home/blah/blah/blah
X connection to :0.0 broken (explicit kill or server shutdown)

i know this card is supported by Xorg, but despite it having been
identified by the system (as shown by dmesg), Xorg.0.log still says
"No devices to configure.  Configuration failed." yes, it seems like
it tries out different drivers, but none work. i understand that this
newest release of xorg is very modular and that even the drivers are
so, but i also understand that xenocara comes with all of the
modularized drivers already included. am i comprehending this
correctly, or do i have to download and compile my "radeon" driver?

i am also not sure if i'll be able to run glx on it.. i have searched
google far and wide and have read arguments for both. ie: some people
say it will, while others say it won't. does glx depend on dri? if so,
is dri supported by openbsd? can i get glx without dri?

here's an example: a forum post that hints how i'm completely fucked,
but not really.
http://www.sudhian.com/index.php?/forums/viewthread/97688/#851028

i'm tired of having to piece toghether a solution from all of these
frustratingly half-true assumptions. mind you, i don't want fancy
superfluous xgl eyecandy, but rather glx, so i can use blender, to do
serious work.

so i'd like to hear some words of reassurance. ie: if it is possible,
and what i have to do to get it to run.

i know this list is for developers, but i figured i'd post here first
because you guys know what you're doing. if i have to take it
somewhere else, please tell me where.

much thanks in advance,

-carlos
