Simply put he seems the only Politician who is prepared to tell the truth and not part of the establishment which is going to keep the perpetual wars going funded by the tax payers while the corporate world gets even richer.

 Another aspect is the creeping fascism not necessarily racist by nature but more big brother in banning civil liberties, he is definitely against that.

Economically i am not sure about returning to the Gold Standard but so far this is the only positive thing i have heard to do sometihng about the economy which currently is being bought up by Asia and the Middle East. I believe he would end up being protectionist but feel this is liklely to happen anyway sooner or later.

Whether he has a chance is open to debate. The question is not whether he is popular but whether the establishment will allow him a level playing field. So far this looks unlikely.
