No, exist does not explicitly support usage of HTTP proxies, other  
than what your JVM provides (you tried it... but aren't these  
parameters case sensitive? http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/docs/guide/net/properties.html 
  ), but still then I am not sure if the exist classes obey the JVM  
settings.....
