That title sequence is relatively easy to do, it's a line (plugin in after effects) animated in 3d space, with text also in 3d. Some motion blur and camera work. Probably all done in after effects. But I bet with some advice from the good doctor Woo Hoo, we could come up with something really cool for the complex, relating to complexity science; after effects can render out animated gifs that might run okay on a website. Art 21 is a great program, and it's great for insomnia (especially if get a really boring artist featured who rambles in art-speak). A book on ethnobotany did the trick for me last night!
