Do you mean the first icon on the left of the menu bar, "Refresh the
file system information".
When I open a project my listings are automatically refreshed. I have
the display columns set to sort by "Local State" and "Remote State" so
I see all changed files (both my local ones and the repository ones)
listed at the top.
