Hi Dan,

I have realised when teaching SC that people do indeed get quite
confused by this page.
I had a look, but I don't think anything has to be removed. To me it's
a question of layout.
It's about making empty spaces on the page. And perhaps rephrasing
some sentences.

Suggestions:

1) put a banner background for the OSs headings. Like:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mac OS X
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This banner could have some colour.
You could even put a box around each OS blurb. That would make things
more "blocky".

2) Leave a space between the last line of one OS info until you get to
the next OS banner. e.g.

           | here |
----------------------------------------
GNU/Linux
-----------------------------------------

3) Update the text (Psychollider is now called SuperCollider)

4) Write a text describing the Plugins and Extensions graph.

5) Perhaps remove all (updated september 2007...) as those that make a
new build
and upload, typically forget to edit this page.

6) I would be inclined then to remove the top 4 links (max, linux,
windows, plugins) and
just let the user scroll down the page a bit. Less confusing, a bit
more work.

But as I said, I do not think this is a bad page.
