Hi,
It's not possible currently to run the tomcat in a fork way.
Can you load an issue here :
http://jira.codehaus.org/browse/MTOMCATThanks,

> I'm trying to use the maven tomcat plugin to start an embedded instance so I

> How can I fix this so I can run it in the background?
