I've just seen a message of Paul Ramsey on Jan 12, 2007: "The 1.2.1 release of PostGIS is now available. This is a minor bug fix release...between others, the New AsKML() function".
Should then find it in http://svn.refractions.net/postgis/tags/1.2.1/ (I can't find it...) and then...
