Okay maybe I was unclear:
1. openvpn isn't an issue it's GPL license has an exception to allow
linking to openssl. So it can and IS included in fedora legally and
aboveboard
2. Python is not at issue b/c it is PSF not GPL
3. The licensing folks who work on fedora have been over our openSSL
linkages with a comb. Afaik, at this point fedora is clean with regard
to openssl and gpl license issues. However, IANAL and I do not speak for
the licensing folks so do not quote me on this.
4. There are some software which have the gpl exception but HATE having
it and work is going on to make them use nss instead which solves the
issue.
does that clear it up?
