Re:Individual Activity ReportMaybe you would be better served by the Activity Matrix report. Set the date
range to be the duration of the event. This report WILL print a page per patrol. As far as markers, you could do a / for signed up X for permission slip, or even a X (attend) and P (Permission Slip). At times it would be nice to have more than one character in this field but with 26 options, we can make up our own codes. As far as putting a * in the field, be careful, that makes them EXCUSED for the event, so if you do a attendance report, and you excused them from 9 of 10 events, and they showed up on the 10th event, they would come out with a 100% attendance at your events. An * takes that event out of the total count like there not invited to attend. I use the * for things were the scout was not eligible to attend, but I have VERY FEW of those. For instance, if a scout were attending a training session the same day as a Troop event. Remember, almost ALL reports will allow you to use the FILTER option where you can print out a patrol at a time, so instead of ALL SCOUTS, you take the Badgers, then Panthers and so on, a little more work each report on its own, but is gives the reports you want. I have 6 patrols, less than 5 minutes. I tend to use the matrix report more. Don't forget you can set the title to your event name too. Question for the rest of the group, how many people use TM to report PRE-attendance of an event (attendance), I would love to see a feature that would take and automatically make a event attendance a GROUP MEMBER LIST, so for instance, you could do reports filter by event attendance. I think it would be nice for recording advancement as well as printing out event rosters with addresses that we have to turn in upon arrival at an event. Also it would be nice to be able to do an email to the group with last minute reminders. Add that to the master WISH LIST. Thanks Tim |
