Hello everyone,

Just received a request to think about how we can start storing data on users, data consumers, providers, etc.. in the CMDB. At first glance, I noticed the BMC_Person class which I could use... Obviously we already store more or less the same data on CTM:people...But...

We also need to be able to relate every instance of this data to some CI.

Is there a an existing relationship I could use or create a new one from, with minimal work and maintenance headaches in the future?

Looking at the Asset management forms of the CI  I also noticed there is a tab PERSON with a table pointing to a form namely Ast:AssetPeople. I am thinking instead of having to create an AIE data exchange to pull the CI (Person) data and the relationship data from a remote database, I could have some filter which creates the link between the CI in the Asset form(s) and the LoginID or instanceId of the person in the CTM:people?!

Any thoughts will be very much appreciated.

Regards
frex
