Recharter-related question

Our troop tracks and awards the Camping Nights patches to siblings as well as adults and Scouts, so within Troopmaster I have a "patrol" of siblings.  However, when it's time to recharter I don't want to list (or include) the siblings.  Is there any way to do this (short of archiving and unarchiving after the recharter)??
Thanks!

Troopmaster is designed to keep track of actual registered youth and
adults. I think you have set the process correct in that you would have
to archive and then unarchive after the recharter process.

Also understand that Troopmaster and Scoutnet, while are valuable tools,
in most cases fight like cats and dogs in most cases during the
recharter process.

Michelle,

Why do you have to have them entered into TM anyway? Why can't you just create an Excel spreadsheet with the names of the siblings off in the left column, and dates of the events they attended at the top of each column in the first row?

That seems like it would be just as simple and easy to keep record of, then put an "X" for each event they attended, just as you would in TM.

Then you don't have to clog TM with non-registered members that don't belong in the system to begin with come time for re-chartering.

Plus, it's a lot less headache then dealing with the way you suggested.

It looks like you have to specificly select those you wish to Recharter.
So, using it with a Filter of 'Active' Scouts and Adults, or, however you have it organized, should do the trick.

Unless you specifically need to track them as youth, why not define the to
TM as an adult.

I have all my parents defined in TM as adults, but only the ones that are
registered as leaders go to Internet Re-Charter.

So, that should carry thru to anyone that is defined to TM, regardless of
whether they are an adult or not, at least I would think so.

Just a thought.

Actually we have had that information in a spreadsheet, but have been gradually working toward using Troopmaster as a central information location.  Also, with 80+ boys (not including siblings and adults) the Excel spreadsheet gets pretty large and unwieldy.

Thanks Andy!  That suggestion might work.  Last year we had Troopmaster, but I didn't use it to re-register so I didn't know about being able to select specific people to recharter.  I'll definitely give it a try.
