Recover existing install

I just picked a NSLU2 from a friend who used it as asterisk box using his USB Flash drive.

He gave me the NSLU2 but nothign else.

How can I reflash it and resetup for use as asterisk box.

Any help is appreciated.

first you need to enter upgrade mode:

then load whatever firmware you'd like

what happens next depends on the firmware you'll use
