Hello everyone,

I have problem with the application i created.  I have a red5 server streaming prerecorded flv videos.  the client is the mobile phones web browser( flash lite 3.0 enabled ).  The video is choppy like around every 2-3 seconds the video chops. I tried to use my FMS and using the same flv video file to be played and it works well. No video chopping or any problem occured.  When I switched back to red5 got again the problem. I wonder why is it the problem occured when I used the Red5 server.  Hoping for your great help.

Thanks,

Brikz

I used the 0.8.RC3 version of Red5.  Another observation we got from our invistigation yesterday( correct me if i'm wrong) is that there's a big difference between Red5's rtmp message composition and FMS's way of composing the message. We tried to play a stream using FMS and we monitor the packets using wireshark and we found out that there's no video packet....we only saw audio packet...so we came to the conclusion that audio and video messages are combined inside 1 packet.  To prove that it is, we tried to disable the receiving of the audio in the client side while still enabling the receiving of video and when we tried to play the stream we only saw the 1st frame of the video and totally no audio.  In Red5's case, audio and video messages are in different packets but there's a problem.  When we disable the receiving of audio in the client side and started to play the stream we still receive the audio.
