Redirecting to Gmail - Date Not Correct

I'm trying to move some messages from one gmail account to another.

I have downloaded the messages in Thunderbird, and have used Redirect to send the messages to the new account using Resend-To and Resend-BCC.  In both cases, the messages show up in the new gmail account with the current date, rather than the date that the original message was sent.  These messages show the correct date in Thunderbird.

I must be doing something wrong, because I have read that others are using it fine.

Is there a setting somewhere to fix this?

-Curt

Curt:

You're not doing anything wrong.  That is the way GMail works.  GMail re-dates everything it gets to the date it arrives on their servers.  This has been a long running gripe (along with the non-standard POP3 implementation).  As to why it seems that no one else is having the problem, is (1) they may not have even noticed, (2) were already aware of GMail's date issue.
