I am new to egroupware. I was given 4 zip files by my boss. I deployed the egroupware and running it successfully. My egroupware version is 1.6.x. what my doubt is what are the other zip files viz, MyDMS, icalserv, gallery? what i have to do with them? where to deploy them? how to integrate them to egroupware? is there any relationship with egw to the other applications?
Please reply as early as possible..It is very urgent.

MyDMS is a Document Management System
icalsrv is for sync calendars
gallery is a photo gallery
all should be unpacked in the egroupware folder of your webserver and installed using the egroupware setup in the option install applications, this whould create the database tables and integrate them into the egroupware (I think that the galley module need to run its own setup afterwards, but dont remember exactly, you could read more in the docs or in the egroupware wiki)
really required is only to install egw-pear. All other apps are optional
and beside gallery2 old, depricated parts of egroupware. You should
install them only if your really need them!

If Gallery, myDMS, iCalServ are old and depricated...

Maybe Filemanager or Samba?

Gallery ist not deprecated.
myDMS --> Filemanager
iCalSrv --> GroupDAV (CalDAV/CardDAV)

We plan to use samba as a possible backend for filemanager (NOT yet
implemented).
